THIS IS THE LYRICS TO IT! YOU CAN HEAR A MAN SINGING IT TOO

Our new Hostel

We went to a museum of the prisoners near St. James. Fanta has been around for long time.

Walked thru Hyde Park. St. Mary's Cathedral is one of the largest, oldest church here. I decided to get a tattoo!!!! wat'chu think? Oh and we moved into our newest hostel. It fits 45 people in a room. All we get is a hammock. Pretty neat eh? It's pretty much all we can afford right now...Watchu think of it?

Palmolive

Palmolive Shamp. & Conditioner - Do we have that back home? I thought i was in the liquid detergent section!

Good things come in small packages!

I went out on a Wednesday night to the Sidebar and had happy hour with the IEP peeps. It was fun. Drinks for 2.50 (you can't complain!) Met a few interesting people. At some point in the night, this guy asked me to take a picture...i figured i was going to take their picture, but he wanted me in it! i stood up and i knew why, he was 6 ft 8! I was half his size. LOL his friend wanted to take a pix too! 6 ft 4! I met Dallas (Canadian) who was about my height and yeah, we'd make pretty odd looking couples.

Anyways...i went to Lindt's Cafe today to run Hot choco for a few of my coworkers. OH man my dark hot chocoloate was SO GOOD...i just want to crawl under the table and sleep now. I couldn't resist and I bought two bars - a joghurt pfrsich-aprikose (which i believe is peach apricot) & joghurt himbeer-vanille (raspberry vanilla).

NewTown Festival

Nam told us about the Music Festival they had down in Newtown. It's pretty cool! Crowded, with music, booth, food, and best of all it was FREE! We had Turkish Gozleme which was pretty popular there, spinach, some kind of spread, a little meat in a pita.

The right is us at China town...eating a viet banh mi! hehe it was yummie! $3.00 bucks that satisfy the hungry tummy.

Bottom is a clip of the place.

These are pictures from last weekend.
We went to a backpack expo (yes we are nerds, but it was fun! thats where we met our Nieghbour celeb, I won a 2 tickets for a museum in melbourne, chapstick!(much needed), free beer, saw a guy with a snake, but i was too scared to hold it.

Below is us at Kings Cross, a bar we saw on the way home, the bottle shop with a pretty cool name....It was a pretty fun weekend.

Aussie - CELEB!!

WE SAW CELEBRITIES!! okay okay, so it's one Celebrity, but its still pretty cool! He's a hottie! He was super tall, and I was like, oh no i'm half your size...and he kneeled down to take the picture...haha...He even asked us, if we even watched the show...and we were like, "yeah yeah...OF COURSE"

Oh yeah...at work today, i saw another celebrity! (well he's older, but he use to be in neighbors and a few popular show in the 90's) His name is Andrew McFarlane. My coworker Reda told me he was a celebrity, so i googled him...and he was! but i was at work, so i didn't want to be unprofessional, booo missed a picture opportunity. haha

Our Place

This is our place at Bondi. The balcony view. Our room with all its essentials. I live on the top, and Jocelle lives underneath. That's us having dinner. I had a bag of noodles, while she had nachos from downstairs.

MY BIRTHDAY!!!

Jo's present to meeeeeeeeeh. isn't she the sweetest =) hehe I've already finished 4 books and i'm on my 5th, so this comes in handy. You dont got much to do, when u're sitting on the bus for such a long time...! a sleeping mask & some ear plugs goes a long way! - thanks/cheers Mate!

We met up with Nam, who Monkey set me up with, we went to this TEA bar , whose specialty is their TEA. The shots comes out from a tea kettle and you share it with your friends, pretty neat. (we also went with girls from our apartment)...interesting night...we also went to a strip club with them...his flat mate works there, we came to support =)

the GAFF These are the people that we are/were living with...and the bottom right is the group of girls we went to eat Pancakes on the Rocks with, we met from IEP. We learned to love Beer and Wine because its cheaper. LOL a new drink is Beer with Lemonade or Lime syrup (its what alot of girls drink here...it doesn't taste like the gross beer when u add them, its actually pretty good!

On my birthday, my co-worker Lisa, invited me to go sailing with Captain Harvey. He was a jolly old man...really funny. There was her friend Catherine, and Yang. We invited Regina, whom we met at IEP the following night, she's from New Hampshire. We were actually on a race, our sail boat was named Out of Africa, cuz Harvey says, anywhere, but Africa..(haha) We won 3rd place. Every time he would scream.."You Ready Girls?!..Round About!" we'd have to crawl over to the other side, because to avoid hitting out heads!...we got so tired! It was physically draining...and we did not like those words by the end of the trip! http://www.gfs.org.au/ This is the website...its the greenwich flying squadron, we're the green team. The sail boat that says Out of Afria is the one we were on. The picture on the website is the route we took, we circulated 4 little islands, cockatoo island, goat island, not sure what else, but we saw where Crazy John beat his wife at, and the island where he ended up chained at.

one of the best part of the night...i got to try KANGAROO MEAT! It was SOOO GOOD....it an expensive piece of steak, soft and tender and moist...OooOohh it was DELIOUS.... Jocelle had their salmon. She wouldn't try it, even tho i tried to force her and guilt her into it..lol...aww Josie u MISSED OUT... THEY DON'T HAVE SCHIRACHI here! haha aww i miss my hot sauce...BUT they had this really good chili sauce at the restaurant, the picture doesn't do justice. (btw you have to pay for ketchup (tomatoe sauce) here even at KFC!! i said i want ketchup once, and my coworker laughed at me.)

Starbucks was nice...right by Darlingharbor..lovely view

This is the 2nd best thing (well it was pretty hilarious)..that happened on my birthday. OOHHH JOSIE...so it started raining after dinner, instead of going to the bar like we planned, we decided to rent a movie and buy a bottle of wine. So we walked to our bus station, when it started POURING RAIN!!! it was about 10+ blocks before our station! and we were all getting drench, 3 of us under 1 umbrella...the water dripping from the umbrella was getting josie's back wet, and my showers wet too! Then we crossed the street and i turned to see where Josie was...and i didn't see her behind me...AND THEN...i saw her! Sitting on the ground...SMACKED BUTT in the puddle on the curb. She slipped and BROKE her sandals (2nd time in Sydney now) and fell straight into the water! It was hilarious...we laughed all the way home...and that is how I celebrated my birthday weekend.

Meanwhile, from all the way in Sunny California, my family also remembered my bday...they had a celebration, just without me! oohh yummm food looks good!

Isn't our view nice...I'll post our balcony view later...they're not big on mexican food here, but we do have a Burrito place beneath us! Josie bought a burrito once, smaller than chipotle burrito without all their stuffings, for 12 bucks!
I went for a stroll at 7 in the morning, the sun rise pretty early here! and thanks to day light savings it sets pretty late too!

Take a look at the clip..its kinda quick tho...

Food

Food 4 Less was definitely false advertising!...TIM TAM's are so delicious!

Oh yeah you guys should be glad that condiments are free and plentiful over there! They charge you for everything here! So we went to eat crepes that one morning, so we were pretty full, but saw some sushi, and wanted to just satisfy the craving. A little roll cost 2.90 cent. Basically its one byte for me and one byte for Josie. Okay not bad, the soy sauce is really cute, its in these little fish plastic packages (i'll have to show you), and ginger and wasabi...u know thats wat you need!...they charged us for everything! The tiny roll of sushi ended up, pretty expensive!

MTV Real World

The FAMOUS SYDNEY BRIDGE!
We would like to climb the sydney bridge too!

So we were walking down darling harbor when out of NOWHERE we saw the building...i screamed to josie..."hey!!!! isn't that the mtv real world?!!", "kat, i think it is!!!" so we starred at it for a few minutes making sure it was...lol
and we gotta take the broken arm picture! been doing that everywhere with Arlz...1st one @ statue of liberty(+quinnie)...statue of liberty(+josie,xotch)....rome....

RADIO!!!

I was just thinking how much i miss the radio, my ipods great, but u just NEED new/different music (tho its still amazing how i'd still find a song in my ipod that i've never heard/or recognize before)...hehe...and then A GREAT IDEA OCCURRED...i used to listen to kroq online at ADP all the time! (thankx to KK) and yay it works! now i can listen to kroq/kiis/or kost anytime i want at work here! =)
ACTUALLY BOOOO ONLY KROQ WORKS...the other said due to restrictions from my ip address...it can not be aired internationally.
